Mr. Norris
This is my 9th year teaching at Guy Lee. I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2007 with a bachelor degree in Education, and a bachelor degree in Ethnic Studies. I continued on with my Education and graduated from Pacific University in 2010 with a masters degree in Elementary Education.
During my time in graduate school I worked as an educational assistant at Guy Lee in the Academic Learning Center. Once I finished with graduate school I started working as a substitute teacher in Portland, Oregon. I was a substitute mainly in high school, so once the opportunity to accept a job in elementary came up in Springfield I couldn't say no!
I have been married for 10 years to my wife Nicole, and she is a 1st grade teacher here at Guy Lee. I have two children Maya, and Trey. Maya is 11 years old, and Trey just turned 8 years old in July. Maya will be starting 6th grade this year, and Trey will be going into 3rd grade. We spent the summer traveling to Arizona, swimming, playing basketball, bike riding, and going to the Oregon Coast.
I am a sports fan, and of course I love the Ducks!! I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, playing basketball, and lifting weights. I love being outside and try to take advantage of the nice weather whenever possible.
